About Me

Dyertribe is a personal blog by virtualisation (normally VMware), data storage, containers and public cloud maintained by me – Nick Dyer. I chose the name as my personality is very much satirical in nature, and the last thing anyone should do in the IT Industry is take themselves seriously 😀

Short introduction used on other sites like linkedin:

I am versatile & highly motivated Principal Systems/Sales Engineer focusing on enterprise datacentre virtualisation & hyper-convergence (HCI), flash storage and cloud / big data analytical systems, residing in the South East of England. I’ve worked for 3 different storage/networking startups – all of which have been acquired – as well as the “Tier 1” vendors such as IBM, HPE and Dell. I’ve spent the past 6 years working at Nimble Storage, working with mid-market and enterprises revolutionising their applications with Nimble flash storage.

I’ve got a few certs, have a “Desmond” degree and spend far too much time on YouTube.
